Baby Gizmo Spotlight Product Review: Inglesina Fast Table Chair

article fasttable Baby Gizmo Spotlight Product Review: Inglesina Fast Table ChairAre you looking for a great hook-on chair for your baby on-the-go?  You may not need to look any farther than the Inglesina Fast Table Chair. This lightweight, compact, hook-on chair makes a great travel buddy for your little one. Plus, this chair isn’t just for travel but can also give your little one a seat with the family at home.

I’m not a big fan of the dirty, public high chairs at restaurants.  I like to bring my own seat for the baby so that I know it’s safe, has a buckle that works and is germ-free. This is where the Fast Table Chair shines! It is extremely travel-friendly because it weighs a very light 4.2 lbs, folds flat for easy storage and travel and hooks onto a table in seconds.  The chair has universal twist-tight couplings (the pieces that attach to the table) that can fit on most tables up to 3 ½” thick.  Plus, since the bottom part of the attachment pieces are curved, we have found that it can even work on some tables that have a decorative edge that other clip-on (hook-on) chairs won’t work. The chair couplings are rubber so they leave your table (or the restaurant table) scratch-free. That doesn’t mean your baby won’t scratch up your table though!

The Fast Table Chair works great not only at restaurants, grandma’s house and on our kitchen table but on our kitchen island countertop too. We want to remind parents to be smart when using any hook-on chair and only attach it to a sturdy table. The chair will only be as stable as the table you are hooking it to. Hook-on chairs should never be attached to a pedestal table, glass table or any table that is not sturdy.

The Fast Table Chair can accommodate a baby who can sit up unassisted up to 37 lbs. The seat sports a 3-point harness that even has a piece of fabric that folds (and Velcros) over the buckle to prevent your child from messing with it.  There is also a pocket on the back of the seat for mealtime essentials such as bibs and utensils. When your baby’s messiness gets out of hand, the cover is removable for a little hand-washing.

One of my favorite features of the chair is the included travel bag that is attached to the seat!  That’s right – it is ATTACHED to the seat!  I love that!  Anytime there is a separate bag, there is always a chance that I will lose it when I’m using the chair on an everyday basis at home.  Not with the Inglesina chair!  The large travel bag will keep the chair clean when traveling and is large enough so that you can add other mealtime essentials in the bag.  When the chair is in use, the travel bag tucks into a pocket under the seat to keep it out of the way and give the bottom of the seat a little extra padding.

The Fast Table Chair comes in all kinds of stylish colors with more coming out soon!  Black, navy, cappuccino, red and green will all be available in December 2011. If white frames are your thing, they will have graphite, light blue, lime, orange and pink available on a white frame in January 2012.

Overall, I really like the Inglesina Fast Table Chair for a chair on-the-go or for bringing baby to the dinner table with the family. If you are looking for a stylish, lightweight, hook-on chair that folds compactly and has an attached bag, take a look at the Inglesina Fast Table Chair.

Hmmmm, this chair looks safe, but what parent, grandparent, or sitter out there has not had a quick one-year-old who likes to climb out of a high chair the second you look away? To be safer, I would think this device should have shoulder straps.
