BRITAX Registry Rewards Program Offers Free Car Seat

Britax registry BRITAX Registry Rewards Program Offers Free Car Seat

New and expecting parents may earn an extra registry gift from BRITAX – a Britax Boulevard 70 Convertible Car Seat – when they participate in the Britax Registry Rewards program.

The Britax Registry Rewards Program just started April 2. Parents can receive a free car seat (the Boulevard 70!) when they buy one designated BRITAX or BOB item from each of five baby gear categories on the BRITAX New Parent Checklist.  Proof of purchase is required. Categories include: strollers, car seats, baby carriers, large accessories and small accessories.  The full checklist is available HERE.

To participate, consumers must mail in the 5 UPC barcodes, found on each new product purchase, and a completed redemption form.  The redemption form can be found in-store or online at BritaxRegistryRewards.com.

A helpful little FAQ that I want to point out is this:

Can I submit barcodes for products that I purchased/received before the BRITAX Registry Rewards program started (April 2, 2012)?
The Program started on April 2, 2012; however, we will honor purchases made up to approximately one month prior starting on March 1, 2012 to help include those that bought eligible products near the start date without knowledge of the program. UPC barcodes will still be required for such purchases.

this sounds like a great deal, especially since we were looking at a Britax car seat already anyway, and want a second car seat for grandparents/2nd car. I was debating between the Baby Jogger City Select and the B-ready (we plan to have our 2nd child soon after the first) so need a double/convertible stroller. with the free car seat offer, my decision is made for the Britax B-Ready!

I have had a very bad experience trying to claim the reward for the Britax Registry rewards program. Their website for registering and claiming the reward both online and ordering the form is not working, and they don’t appear too concerned about this fact. I contacted their customer service department, and was not too satisfied with their response. No real help offered. Is anyone having any success claiming their registry rewards?
I am starting to suspect that they have effectively shut down registration on the site for customers to claim the car seat.
