Peanut Butter Graham Cracker Balls

Sharing is caring!

Looking for a quick, yummy and easy dessert for the entire family to enjoy. Well, I didn’t need to make one last weekend but I wanted to, and believe me, my family wanted me to as well. That’s why I’m sharing these Peanut Butter Graham Cracker Balls recipe with you today.

We are a big peanut butter and chocolate family so I thought I would whip up a quick batch of peanut butter balls to compliment the Raspberry Magic Bars or Peanut Butter Cup S’mores Dessert Skillet or Maple Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars that I already had made. I’m not a one dessert-making gal much to my sister’s chagrin. I like everyone to have a choice. 🙂

Peanut Butter Graham Cracker Balls

So, I decided to make the peanut butter balls but quickly realized we were out of powdered sugar.  That is an integral ingredient in those balls. Not to worry because crushed graham crackers (which I had!) were to the rescue. These peanut butter balls with graham cracker crumbs were delicious! My family loved them.

Peanut Butter Balls with Graham Crackers Ingredients:

1 cup peanut butter (I used crunchy)

1 1/2 cups graham crackers crumbs

¾ cup mini chocolate chips or Heath bits

1 – 1 ¼ cup chocolate (I used semi-sweet chocolate)

Peanut Butter Graham Cracker Balls Directions:

1. Take your graham crackers and blend to crumbs in a food processor until you get 1 ½ cups. Add graham crackers crumbs to the 1 cup of peanut butter. Mix it up good. You want the mixture to be dry enough to be able to form balls. Add a little bit more peanut butter or cracker crumbs to achieve this consistency if need be.

2. Form 24 even sized balls with your hands and place on a wax paper covered plate, cutting board or baking sheet. Freeze for 30-60 minutes.

3. Melt the chocolate in the microwave until just melted (do not overcook!) or use a double boiler and stir chocolate until melted. Placed mini chips or crushed Heath bits in a small bowl. Note: You can use whatever topping that you would like including nuts, crushed Oreo…etc.

4. Using a toothpick or fork dip the peanut butter balls in the melted chocolate, one at a time, and then toss in the topping until covered. Refrigerate or freeze until firm.

5. That’s it. Enjoy!

In the ingredient list you ask for 1 - 1 1/4 cup chocolate … is that the amount after you have melted it or is that chocolate chips or wafers that we are to melt. It’s not at all clear. Another poster has also asked that question and has never been answered.

It is the chocolate before it has been melted. Since that is the dipping chocolate - it will also depend on how thick you coat each PB Graham Cracker Balls to how much chocolate you go through.Hope this helps!

Hi, I made these peanut butter balls tonight but I used Hershey's milk chocolate morsels I followed the directions but the problem I ran into why is that my chocolate seem to be a little too thick some when I tried to dip the balls into it it would come off of my Fork and if it's just a little hard to get to chocolate right they didn't turn out bad but there's a little more chocolate on them that I wanted but great recipe they are very rich the Great! Can you give me some advice on my chocolate I would appreciate it thank you!

@Hollie Schultz, yes whenever I melt chocolate to coat something I always add little coconut oil or shortening

Add a little canola/vegetable oil (or melted butter) to the chocolate and that will thin it out. :)

Would you have a weight quantity for the 1-1 1/4 cups of chocolate; or are you specifying semi-sweet chips? Thank you ????
