Fall Boot Round Up

During the fall months of 2012 I’m transitioning from super pregnant to super squishy to hopefully, super svelte. Yep, the woes of the postpartum body are upon me and I’m doing my very best to stay fashionable while managing my changing waistline. I’ve quickly found that accessories are the way to go – jewelry, scarves, and best of all, BOOTS!

Being from the Northwest, boot season is nice and long so I know my investments are worthwhile. I’ve spent a fair amount of time cruising the internet during my quiet nursing hours and I’m excited to share a handful of my favorite boots! I can’t promise that they’ll all join my boot collection, but seeing that I have a fall birthday I hope at least one pair will icon smile Fall Boot Round Up

STURDY HIGH HEEL BOOTS

It’s hard to pick a favorite type of boot, I mean, all boots are a part of my favorite category. I show no favoritism. But, I do have a soft spot in my heart for a sturdy pair of high heel boots. They make me feel pulled together while still giving me the ability to chase after my sweet toddler.

Ballure Curve by Top Shop, $160 (approximately) – There is something about burgundy in the fall that just feels fantastic. If I don’t find a pair of burgundy boots, you better believe I’ll be picking up a burgundy purse … or scarf … or pea coat … or … well, you get the idea icon smile Fall Boot Round Up

Risk It Suede by Naughty Monkey, available at Francesca’s Collection, $100 – My mom would say suede isn’t a good idea. I can hear her now, “What if your littles spill yogurt on them?” Well, I beg to differ! Sometimes us mamas have to take a little risk in the name of fashion. Wouldn’t you agree?

Ethelda by Lucky Brand, available at Macy’s, $229 – I love the cowgirl inspired buckle and they come in lavender gray which just sounds like a gorgeous color!

HIP & SASSY BOOTIES

Eek! These booties are too adorable! From rough and tumble to chic and pretty – booties are the happening boot this season. Don’t be afraid to pair with colored jeggings or tights and a pencil skirt – you’ll be the talk of the town!

Suede Zipper by Cathy Jean, $69 – The cuff, the zipper, the block heel. I love it all!

Dali by Corso Como, available at Nordstrom, $160 – Of course I picked the burgundy, but these precious booties are also available in black and taupe. I can definitely see them wearing well through fall and into winter. Can you just see them as a part of your Christmas ensemble? I can!

Alexandra Suede by Ecote, available at Urban Outfitters, $69 – Five color choices make these booties a no brainer. I feel like they would match just about everything and are simple enough for those mamas ready to embark on their first pair of ankle boots.

PRACTICAL FLAT BOOTS

Since becoming a mama, I’ve been drawn to practical flat boots. They just make sense. Thankfully, flats are around every corner I turn and they’ll most likely be what joins my closet this year.

Intyce by Steven Madden, available at Zappos.com, $150 – These boots have been in my closet for two season now. Seeing that they are still being sold only goes to show how fabulous they are. The cognac is to die for and every time I’m out at least one person asks where I bought them. Seriously, if you’re looking for the “match with anything and everything” type of boot, don’t say no to the Intyce – dare I say, they are enticing!

Troopa by Steven Madden, available at Nordstrom, $100 – Oops! Apparently, I fell in love with two Steve Madden boots this year. I guess Steve has got it going on icon smile Fall Boot Round Up I love these prairie-esque boots, so much so that I convinced my sister to buy them for her fall wardrobe!

Kasia Riding by Merona, available at Target, $70 – Riding boots will forever be fashionable, no doubt about that.

Alright, there is my fall boot round up! Well, all except for this one and this one – they are lovely too! What boots have you bought (or plan to buy) for this fall season? I’d love to see your picks so feel free to comment!
