Must Snap Newborn Photos

Sharing is caring!

They say newborn photos ought to be taken within the first 2 weeks of baby’s life. That way, you can still capture the newness, but be a bit settled at home. Granted, birth photos are a pretty fabulous option too. Whatever you choose, just make sure you schedule in a newborn photo session before baby starts growing too fast. And they DO grow fast! So whether you take them or a professional photographer, rest assured that setting the stage, grabbing a few props and zooming in on those tiny toes will produce photos you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Here’s a few of my favorites that I’ll consider recreating with my next bundle …

Nothing is sweeter than a loving sibling shot.

Sometimes what is in the background is just as precious as the focus.

My favorite photos always seem to be black and whites and you can’t beat a darling profile close up.

Don’t forget all the cute bits and pieces of baby – hands, toes, ears, nose, belly button …

What milestones do you usually photograph with your kids? Maternity? Birth? Newborn? 6 months? One year? It’s a lot to fit in, so I’m curious about what you do yourself and whether or not you hire a professional photographer!
