Jane Rider Stroller Spotlight Review (VIDEO)

Yes, we have been on a Jane kick lately, but since they are new to the US, we wanted to show you what they have. Today we are focusing on the Jane Rider stroller. This four-wheel stroller is great for everyday use, but with the great shock absorbers and suspension, it can tackle the “mommy terrain” as well.

SEAT

Jane recommends the Rider seat for 6 months to 4 years old. It measure 12″ wide, with a 21″ seat back and a measurement of 22″ from seat back to canopy. An adjustable, padded, 5-point harness keeps your little one safely in the seat while the adjustable leg rest keeps them comfy. The seat sports a removable, washable, padded seat insert for easy clean up and we adore the cute elephant on the insert that comes in the sand color.

The seat is reversible and has three recline positions in either direction (parent-facing or facing out at the world!). I love that the seat recline is done with an easy-to-do, one-handed lever.

STORAGE

The basket is pretty narrow and really not that big. You will be able to fit loose baby essentials or a very small diaper bag in it.

Good news though – Jane included a matching, messenger-style diaper bag with the stroller that is complete with stroller straps to hang it off the handlebar for extra storage.

 CANOPY & HANDLE

The canopy is large but I’d love to see a pop-out sun visor added for extra coverage. It is missing any type of peek-a-boo window on top but not usually a deal breaker when shopping for strollers.

The handle adjusts up and down from 31″ to 42″ from ground to handle. I love that there is an included (removable) cup holder on the side of the handle and the parking brake is conveniently located there too!

WHEELS

The wheels are non-puncture, hard rubber wheels that are meant for everyday use. This is not an all-terrain stroller so the wheels measure 10″ in the rear and 6″ in the front. The front wheels are swivel wheels with the ability to lock straight and combined with the adjustable suspension and shock absorbers, I think it handles “mommy terrain” just fine.  The maneuverability is fabulous and this is one of those strollers you can navigate with one hand.

FOLD AND UNFOLD

Like the Jane Trider, there is no need to remove the seat while folding the stroller because it all folds down into a nice, neat package. It’s rather compact for an all-terrain stroller but it is still on the heavy side weighing it at 28 lbs. To keep it closed while lifting and transporting, we are happy to see an auto lock and a standing fold! Woot! Woot!

ACCESSORIES

The Jane Rider comes with the matching messenger diaper bag, a rain cover and a cup holder. Sold separately, there is a “link fix” to turn the stroller into a travel system (with a Maxi Cosi Mico, Chicco Keyfit30 and a Graco Snugride 35), a footmuff, bassinet (coming soon!) and a sunshade/umbrella.

WRAP-UP

Overall, the Jane Rider is an excellent, luxury, 4-wheel, everyday stroller that is stocked with features. Of course, it carries a pretty hefty price tag retailing for $750 (which is $40 cheaper than the all-terrain Trider!). You know how it works – you want a luxury stroller, you are going to pay a luxury price icon smile Jane Rider Stroller Spotlight Review (VIDEO)

I love this stroller it is so comfortable and easy to use , my son loves it too , even he is only 3 months old but seems to be very comfortable in it without the carrycot ( bassinet) and I don’t have the carseat adapter so I use only the stroller, nice desing and quality.
