Book Launch Party

Date February 20, 2008

Baby Gizmo Buying GuideI had no idea how much hard work and how much fun planning a book launch party would be. Since The Baby Gizmo Buying Guide  is our first book, we wanted to make the launch as fun as possible. We planned everything ourselves from picking the location to designing the invitations to choosing a fabulous charity to benefit. It was an overwhelming task to take on but we wanted everything to be perfect.

I cannot rave enough about how great the location (Citibabes in NY) was for our party. This exclusive baby gym was perfect to host our book launch party that not only celebrated the book but also some of our favorite 5-Star baby products.

We chose the wonderful charity, Room to Grow, to benefit from our party. We raised money for them through sponsors as well as a great raffle that we held at the party giving away the most fun baby products. The ladies at Room to Grow were wonderful and we loved helping their cause.

So, how did the party go, you ask? FANTASTIC!! Hollie Schultz & Heather MacleanThe night started out with a New York snowstorm but that didn’t keep our guests away. We had a great turnout with guests even bringing their adorable kids to participate in the location’s fabulous amenities. The food was perfect and we even as a kid’s buffet that all the kids enjoyed together at a child sized table. It was too cute!

All in the time span of an hour and a half, we ate, mingled, chatted with the media, and held a raffle giving away more than 10 fabulous prizes from high chairs to slings to a Bugaboo Stroller! Each guest left the party with a great gift bag filled with the cutest baby items.

To wind down after the party, we joined friends and family for a fantastic Italian meal out in Times Square. We couldn’t have asked for a better day to celebrate the launch of The Baby Gizmo Buying Guide.

xoxo
