One reason is the new Chicco KeyFit infant car seat carrier. The Chicco KeyFit is named for the ease of installation, what they feel is the key to a safe ride. And they are right, installation couldn't be easier. You'll literally be left standing in the driveway wondering if you did everything correctly because it's just that easy. While the seat isn't quite as pretty as a Peg Perego, it's still very attractive, very upscale looking and the Italian craftsmanship is easy to spot. The lower price, lighter weight and new Chicco Cortina stroller as a travel system option puts the Chicco KeyFit ahead of perennial favorite Peg Perego in our book. The Chicco KeyFit is still a full featured car seat, with all the safety advancements of the other industry leaders. It's lined with EPS, energy-absorbing foam, provides full side impact protection, has a one-hand adjustable 5-point harness and large sun canopy. We also love the extra storage compartment in the base and that it has a smooth underside to protect the seat of our poor, kid-trashed vehicle! Overall, it's a great infant car seat especially if you are a fan of the Chicco stroller line.
