Full Review: Kids will adore it – Moms will love it! In our experience this has been such a great product. After two weeks of potty training we were ready to pull our hair out. To our sweet little one the potty was scary – the Gotta Go Doll really helped her to overcome this fear and believe it or not was successfully potty trained (no accidents going on two weeks – everyone cross your fingers) within one day of playing and exploring the bathroom with this adorable little friend.

We found that the Gotta Go Doll is a great learning tool. Our daughter not only had fun with the doll but she thoroughly enjoyed role playing with her. Ever since she was given the doll, she has played with it every day and it has gotten her excited about using the potty.

The Gotta Go Doll is an adorable little girl who talks and moves just like a little one. The dolly uses several phrases to help your little one become familiar with bathroom and bedtime routines. The doll boasts over 60 phrases and the phrases are realistic, sweet, and silly. Some examples of the phrases include; a sweet little congratulatory song for “going pee-pee in the potty”, “I’m tired”, and she even uses her please and thank yous.

Included with the Gotta Go baby doll is a doll-sized big girl toilet, a bathroom sink for hand washing, a sink towel for hand drying and several other accessories including toothpaste, a toothbrush, a soap dispenser, a drinking cup, and hair brush.

In addition to the dolls catchy little phrases are her in synch body motions and realistic sounds. For example, she moves her arms up and down and even moves her head back and forth to simulate brushing her teeth. When she drinks she makes a gulping noise and when she washes her hands you can hear the faucet running.

As mentioned previously, this doll is great for role modeling bathroom and night time behaviors. The Gotta Go doll will tell you when she needs to go potty. Our daughter loves to “help” her in this process. She states she needs to use the potty – you place her on the seat and without a mess of water and such the display in the toilet bowl flips to show the dolls progress. Then she flushes the toilet (which simulates a real flushing noise) and the display again flips to show a clean toilet bowl of water. Finally, she will indicate that she wants to wash her hands. Even though we have spent countless times modeling this for our daughter she really took to helping the doll.

We love that the doll can be turned on and off. When my daughter is interested in playing with the doll in arenas other than the bathroom we simply turn off the switch and she lets her imagination run wild.

We also love that the doll is available in several different cultures including: Caucasian, African American, and Hispanic styles.

Even though we love this doll there are a few minor annoyances that should be mentioned. While the Gotta Go Doll is sturdy, we can’t say the same for the toilet and sink accessories. These are great features they are just not as stable. The shelves that sit above the toilet and sink are constantly falling off but we easily remedied this by gluing them down. The smaller accessories are meant to be placed on the counter tops – however, in our experience they are always slipping off and don’t fit in the built in shelving. Finally, the dolls legs are difficult to bend. At first our daughter needed help getting the doll in a sitting position for using the potty.

Despite these minor issues this is a great product. I would definitely recommend this toy to others. It our opinion, it is the ultimate potty training doll and also doubles as a fun realistic toy. It has given our daughter the confidence to use the potty and become a success. Even better is that our little girl loves this toy past her potty training abilities and considers her a little friend. You will definitely get your money’s worth out of the toy! Both the doll and bathroom set require batteries. Our doll has been used daily for at least an hour and is still running strong on the original batteries.
