With its curved legs and 6-position adjustable seat height it fits underneath the dinner table. With the tray removed the lowest position measures approximately 25.5 inches from the floor to the top of the snack tray. (Tip: measure your table to make sure it will fit.) At the highest position, it functions as a traditional highchair at 30 inches off the floor. The tray adds about 3 additional inches. Graco has thoughtfully designed this highchair to have many convenient accessories and features. The locking casters make it easy to sit your child in the kitchen while preparing dinner and roll him to the table when it is time to eat. The wheels run pretty smoothly, however, they don't transition well from a tile kitchen to a carpeted dining room. The storage basket underneath is great for holding extra bibs or cleaning wipes, and the toy bar is a great distraction for infants waiting for their meals. Three small hand toys come with the toy bar accessory, but they probably won't hold the attention of an older baby or toddler. There is also a small snack tray with cup holder underneath the large tray for those quick snacks. This highchair is very safe and easy to use. It has a five-point harness that can convert to a three-point harness for older toddlers. The 4-position recline allows it to be used from baby's first bite of rice cereal through a 37 pound toddler. The base is very wide to prevent tipping, and the wheels lock for stability. All of the seat and tray adjustments can be made with one hand. Pulling the tray out with one hand isn't always smooth, but it is doable. The seat cover can be wiped clean between meals, and is easy to remove. The cover is not machine washable, but it easily wipes clean. Food does tend to slip between the cover and the plastic seat, but the bottom of the cover lifts up for simple cleaning. Not all of the advertised features work well. For example, the tray insert seems like a good idea for easy cleaning until your squirmy baby tosses it to the floor. Also, the insert is technically dishwasher safe, but good luck fitting it in your dishwasher unless it is the only thing in there. Furthermore, this highchair is very large (base 26.5 by 24.7), and takes up a lot of room in a small kitchen. It does fold for storage, but the only thing that happens is the back legs meet the front. This doesn't make it much smaller, but does make it unable to stand on its own. This is not helpful unless you have a long narrow shelf to store it on. Lastly, the toy bar and basket are designed to come off if a child tries to climb on them. This makes the highchair safer, but both accessories are easy to accidentally knock off. If you are looking for something a bit cheaper, Graco also offers Harmony highchairs without the accessories for around $20 less. Finally, this highchair is durable but for a mid-range highchair we think there are better options out there for the same price or worth the extra money.
