Best: Graco's unparalleled usability with a designer look at a great price Worst: Heavy and bulky when folded Full Review: see below   Lowest Price:  $269.99   (from 2 sellers) Full Review: Perhaps hearing the cries of the middle class mom, in 2002, Graco finally hired an industrial designer to give their wonderful strollers some visual appeal. Enter Andrew Serbinski of Machine Art, a firm that specializes in racing bikes and motorcycles. The result, Graco's Quattro Tour, is an inspired collection of graceful arcs and Graco functionality. The Quattro Tour is a full-size stroller, aka a nursery on wheels. It comes with the new Graco SafeSeat, but it will also accept a SnugRide infant carriers. The car seat snaps into place really easily. The Quattro is very newborn-friendly, with a removable head support and our favorite new design feature: the ability to fold the foot rest up to turn the stroller into a bassinet. It's not nearly as fancy as some of the pricier, designer bassinet strollers, but it's a nice attempt. It has a high weight limit, accepting children up to 50 lbs. It folds easily with one hand but has to be manually locked on the side to keep it closed. The Quattro Tour features one of the largest, most easily accessible baskets on the market. Graco's 'lower and load' design allows you to access the basket even when the seat is fully reclined. The Quattro also comes with two side zipper pockets. The seat has a 5-point harness that can also be used as 3-point. We'd love to see harness padding, but alas, it has none. The seat has a 4-position recline and Graco advertises one of those positions as a 'flat recline,' but our mom testers disagreed. It's close to flat, but not completely. There are two snack holders and a cup holder for baby and a great parent tray for mom. The parent tray has two deep cup holders, a covered snack tray and a special compartment for your glasses. The glasses storage section isn't really a big necessity, but since it's there, we wish Graco would have lined it. Hard plastic scratches our fancy lenses! The Quattro has a nice size canopy that rotates 180 degrees forward until it hits the baby snack tray to block the sun or wind from baby's face. The Quattro maneuvers beautifully, better than most full-size strollers and almost as well as an all-terrain stroller. Besides the superior industrial design, it has front wheel suspension, and a single braking bar in back that we find much more convenient than having to lock each back wheel individually. All these features do come at a price however. Happily, it's not a dollar amount. The Graco is well-priced for providing so many upscale additions. It does, sadly, weigh in at a whopping 27 pounds and is rather bulky when folded. And the SafeSeat is much heavier than the SnugRide. We wish the Quattro Travel System came with a SnugRide instead! If you'd like to lose some stroller weight, check out the new Graco Mosaic. It's smaller and lighter, but still sports a similar graceful design to the Quattro, can be used as a travel system and is chock full of features. Overall, you can't beat the Quattro Tour. It offer Graco's unparalleled usability, American sensibility and finally a designer look for a great price.
