My son seems to prefer to be swaddled and sleeps much longer when he is. And any mom of a newborn will tell you, when something works, you stick with it. So, swaddling works for us. The problem was that I would have to rewrap my son twice maybe three times each time to get the blanket to stay. Still, I just didn't think that I needed a swaddling blanket because a receiving blanket was working. Boy was I wrong! At 6 weeks, my son was getting bigger and the receiving blanket just wasn't cutting it anymore. No matter what I did, my little Houdini would escape the blanket and then be upset that he wasn't swaddled. Plus, when he escaped, that would leave a loose blanket near and on top of him which is very dangerous. Not willing to give up swaddling just yet, I decided to try a swaddling blanket. That is when the SwaddleMe entered the picture. I absolutely love it and am frustrated knowing that I wrestled with that receiving blanket for 6 weeks. The SwaddleMe blanket is a specially designed blanket that makes swaddling your baby super easy. The "fabric wings" allow me to wrap his upper body snuggly and stays put with two cute teddy bear Velcro fasteners. It has a leg pouch that is roomy enough for him to kick a bit if he wants to and is easy to bring down to change his diaper without unwrapping his arms. The best thing about the SwaddleMe is that it's easy to use. Since my husband didn't think he could swaddle the baby as well as me, I was stuck with the job every time. Now, that we have the swaddling blanket, it's easy enough for him to do as well. No more rewrapping the baby 2 to 3 times to get it right. The SwaddleMe is a one-wrap blanket that I highly recommend.
