There is no denying that the Italian-made Peg Perego Prima Pappa Best High Chair looks great! It a beautiful high chair that is not only functional but will look great in any kitchen. First thing we noticed when taking the Prima Pappa Best out of the box was that it was 99% assembled. Since we didn't have to spend time putting it together, we had this high chair open and ready to use in no time. Yeah! No assembling!! The Prima Pappa Best has a luxurious, stain resistant Prima Classe upholstery that we found to be soft, durable, and easy to wipe clean. Safety was a priority with this high chair with its 5-point harness, t-bar attached to the seat, and wide sturdy base that prevents any chance of tipping. The 5-point harness is easy to adjust but since it is a light colored can be hard to keep clean. There a one-handed recline (3 positions) in which the entire seat reclines including the footrest. The seat height adjustment is easy to do by pressing two large buttons on either side to fit the chair to any dining table height. By removing the tray and adjusting the height, your child can push right up to the table to eat with the rest of the family. The tray is large giving baby a giant space to play and eat. Included are two dishwasher-safe tray covers that snap on tight so that you baby cannot remove them. Our one complaint about these tray covers is even though they are dishwasher-safe, you will be hand washing them because they are so large that they don't fit in many dishwashers. This isn't a huge deal since you have two to always have a clean one on hand. The tray is one-handed with a release button in front. We found the tray to be cumbersome and difficult to do with one hand. Since the tray sticks a lot and is quite heavy, we end up using two hands to put it on and remove it. Another complaint we have about the tray is that it doesn't push up close enough to the baby. This will be more evident with smaller babies but even with larger ones there is a gap between the child and the tray that begs for food to drop onto their lap. So, now that some food has dropped onto your babies lap and into the seat, is it easy to clean, you ask? Well, yes and no. The fabric is easy to wipe down but the seat has many nooks and crannies to hold and hide food. Also, the chair pad is difficult to remove for a good cleaning. Storing this high chair is no problem because the tray can hang on the back of the chair while the legs fold in to make it more compact. With all the plastic wheels on high chairs we have encountered and many scratches to our wood floor, we are very pleased that Peg Perego included quiet, rubber, mar-resistant wheels with rear brakes with this chair. We thank you! Our wood floors thank you! Other great features to the Prima Pappa Best is the storage pocket on the back of the seat, an adjustable foot rest with 3 positions for your growing child, and beautiful exclusive fabrics. The Prima Pappa best comes in two colors: Paloma & Nuvola and retails for a pricey $229. Even though we aren't crazy about the tray inserts being too large and the 'sticky' one-handed tray not being close enough to the child, the Peg Perego Prima Pappa Best is still a great choice with its luxurious fabrics, great safety features, one-hand recline and easy to do height adjustments.
