There is a support pillow that cradles baby’s head and body and the 5-point safety harness is soft and non-restrictive. There are two recline positions so that the infant can recline when napping or sit up a bit to look around. The music was pleasant enough but the volume control only gave two options—loud and louder. In my opinion, for a swing designed to soothe infants, lower volume would have been appreciated. This swing rocks very well and has a very strong rocking motion with six speed options. It does take a minute to reach full swinging and “helping” it with a small push does not work for this swing. It actually slows it down while it resets its swing motion. This is a pain if you have an impatient child who wants it going NOW, but it is due to their True-speed technology which allows for the proper speed to be maintained even as the baby gets heavier. The colors of this swing are a very tasteful, neutral palate of khaki, blues and greens. It goes in any décor and does not detract from the baby in those all important photo moments. There are two small, detachable toys that hang from a moveable arch above the baby. They are also neutral colored and my son had no interest in them, even when I took them off and gave them to him. When he started looking around and reaching for toys, we hung more colorful toys from the top of the swing. The moveable arch is a nice feature as it allows you to flip it up to make removing the baby from the swing easier. There is also a lock that stops any motion of the swing instantly and locks it in place. This makes getting the baby in and out easier and allows you to wipe spit up messes or make adjustments with only one hand. This swing is lower to the ground and has a flat folding base. There are other swings that fold flatter (the ones that the seat itself also folds) but this swing will fit into a trunk or corner when folded. Overall, we really liked this swing for how comfortable it was and the number of neat little features that make using it so easy.
