While keeping the urban lifestyle in mind, Skip Hop Diaper bags were created with both mom and dad in mind. We are happy to say this was one of the first diaper bags we had that our husbands didn't mind carrying. Try to convince your husband that carrying a pink Pooh Bear monstrosity of a diaper bag is cool and see how well that works for you. It didn't for us. So our hats are off to Skip Hop for designing bags in everything from stripes to camouflage. The Skip Hop Dash is one of their first stroller diaper bags that converts from a stroller bag to a messenger shoulder bag in no time. The shoulder strap snaps off and the remaining straps become loops to hang from your stroller handles. We love the fact that the loops keep the bag up higher and from dragging on the ground or getting in the way of our walking stride. The Dash comes in canvas and denim and the material is extremely durable. After over a year of use, the material is holding up beautifully. There are no tears, scuffs or major marks on it at all. And if you knew how we abuse our diaper bags by shoving them in strollers, unintentionally dragging them on the ground and throwing them into the trunk of our cars, you'd be amazed on how good it still looks. This bag is messenger style and very chic because you wouldn't even know that it's a diaper bag besides the two bottle pockets on the side. One of the best features of the bag is the Velcro flap that covers the top closure. This is fabulous for any mom that has unexpectedly dumped their diaper bag over and watched in horror as all the contents spill onto the street. Keeping a diaper bag closed is key for keeping the contents inside where they belong. The Dash is a great size to fit all your baby essentials without being gigantic. We are able to fit everything we need for an outing with baby including a change of clothes. One thing the Dash is known for is pockets! There are 10 glorious pockets on this bag and believe us, you'll use them all. On the outside of the bag are: two bottle pockets that fit the widest mouth bottles, a convenient pocket on the backside that holds a waterproof changing pad, and two front pouch pockets for quick access items. On the inside: there is a large main compartment, with a Velcro closed pocket in front, two smaller pockets in the back, and an easy access zipper pocket to keep personal items such as keys and wallets easily accessible. All these pockets help us keep all our baby items organized in our bag. With a stylish bag with many color choices, that our husbands don't mind carrying and fits all of our baby stuff and becomes a fun stroller bag, is tops in our book! Best of all, the Dash lasts! We've road tested it for over a year and still no split seams or worn patches. Our only complaint is that the Velcro, eventually, does stop sticking as tightly.
