Well tri means 3 and the 3rd mode fixes the front wheel so that it swivels in a 45 degree arc in both directions, maximizing stability under less than perfect conditions such as on an incline, uneven terrain or for use with the optional toddlerseat, etc. Sporting an extra wide wheelbase to maximize stability, the lightweight aluminum alloy frame resists oxidation and rust, as do our unique aluminum wheel rims.
