My kids love this game. At first it took some time as they weren't proficiant in their colors and shapes. But now they love it. We also have the one with the DVD which is great because they can see the pieces he's talking about. This one consists of a large, child friendly 'console' with a large button on top to start of the games. There is a volume control on top, but it usually ends up staying loud. There are I believe 16 large, colorful game pieces that you lay out on the floor. These are made up of a heavy duty plastic/nylon. They're very flexible, yet withstand little hands. You place the pieces on the floor and turn on the console. The man calls out different shapes, colors or objects on the pieces and the children follow his directions to either hop, crawl, walk to the piece. It's really great in teaching color, shape, and object recognition while teaching children to follow directions in a fun way. We received this game when my step daughter was about 4 and half and had such a blast with it and still do now that she is 6. The instructions are so easy to follow, you just listen to the caller and do when he says. Most of the activities called allow for everyone to use their own creativity to make a funny dance or make a sound. Our whole family has fun being involved. Each round is short, so multiple winners each time you play and no hard feelings. Only downside is that it does take some room since you move about. I'd buy this one again and have given many times as a gift!
