Yes, it's a little bit expensive but my daughter loves it so it's worth it. The seat is really soft and has two positions (one for newborn and one that's more upright). The swing isn't an eye-sore because it's actually a really nice subtle color. The mobile is a hit with my daughter and I love the dual swing options. After my baby girls's middle of the night feeding, I would put her back to sleep in this swing so I could get a few more hours of sleep before the next feeding. She always sleeps a mininum of 2 hours in this swing and the batteries last a pretty long time. She loves the mirror above her head and the music selections always put her to sleep. My little one is 3 1/2 months now (14 pounds) and still uses this swing daily. I've even removed the cover and washed it. It kept it's shape and still looks brand new! It has been wonderful! This has saved us on many nights when our daughters just couldn't get to sleep. This swing is the only thing that worked. The seat adjusts to recline for newborns which is something that not all swings do. My sister got one that didn't, by the time her daughter could safely sit up in it she was getting to old for it. He has since outgrown it but it was the best money I ever spent on a baby product because it kept him quiet. He loved his swing and I knew it would always calm him down when he was upset. The side to side swing is great. The mirror on the mobile is wonderful. And the volume on the music is fantastic. The chair has two recline positions. And the chair is wide and comfy. It's expensive but it's just so plush and comfortable for my baby that I couldn't help but buy it. I knew that my daughter would spend a lot of time in her swing and I wanted her to be as comfortable as she can be. It swings quite fast but it doesn't seem to bother my daughter. The fast swing seems to actually calm her more. The mobile is so cute and I'm positive that my daughter talks to them during the day. The music is also so soothing that it puts me to sleep sometimes as well. My 5 month old baby loves it. He enjoys the bug and birds on the mobile, and when he gets tired, he just drifts off to sleep. I have removed the tray because as he got bigger it was hard to get him in the swing with it on, and he was never interested in the toys on the tray anyway. I would definitely recommend this to someone expecting a baby or purchasing a shower gift. My son is colicy and this swing is one of the only places he will sleep. The seat is very comfortable and roomy and has two positions (one farther back good for newborns and one more upright). The mobile with the mirror is super cute but I think it is not the easiest for him to see. One complaint I have is the the music and mobile shut off after like 7 minutes. That's not cool. I would like the option to shut it off myself. Overall, the cradle swing is my son's preferred swing. I chose this swing because of the way it cradles my baby. he loves snuggling into this swing and it has been a lifesaver for sleepless nights. He loves the little mirror above him and smiles at the baby above. The music and mobile above are very soothing. My son loves the little pillow, the swing itself is soft and durable. Overall I am very happy with this swing and I would reccomend it to anyone.
