| A Must for Big Babies! by Angel from Cleveland, OH | Mom Rating:
 |
| Best: Highest Height & Weight Limits on the Market |
| Worst: Nothing |
| Full Review: Graco has done it again! They took a GREAT seat -- the SnugRide -- and made it even better. Finally, someone has read the reports and figured out that our kids are not as small as they were in the 1950s. Twenty pounds by 1 year? My kids were 20 pounds by 5 months! If you have bigger babies, you MUST get the SafeSeat! It's the best seat on the market, by far, the safest, the easiest to carry. You won't regret it! |

| Too Big For No Reason by 4Boys from Chicago, IL | Mom Rating:
 |
| Best: Graco Safety |
| Worst: Too Heavy! Bad for Mom! |
| Full Review: I used a Graco SnugRide for my first 3 boys, and was excited to try the new SafeSeat with my newest. However, I was disappointed at how much heavier the new SafeSeat is. Heavier for no reason, imho.
While it is convenient to transfer a new baby from car to stroller without unbuckling them, that only works for *new* babies. Once they can sit up on their own, at about 6 months, my babies always started disliking their infant car seat carriers anyway. As soon as they were out of the car, they would struggle to get out of their carrier to better see the world sitting up. They certainly preferred so sit in the shopping cart seat properly (and I felt it was safer than balancing the car seat carrier on the cart anyway...) and by that age, they can sit upright just fine.
And by 20 pounds, no matter how old your child is, they are far too heavy to lug around in an infant seat. It's not good for your back or forearm (I actually pulled my shoulder lugging the last one around). The sooner you can stop carrying the infant car seat, the better!
I wish I had stuck with the SnugRide. The SafeSeat being bigger is only a bummer. |

| A Must for Multiples!!! by ComputerMama from Avon Lake, OH | Mom Rating:
 |
| Best: You can use this seat longer |
| Worst: A tiny bit heavier, but so are other seats now... |
| Full Review: I have triplets and the day they grew out of their infant car seat carriers was the worst! Infant car seat carriers give a mom so much control. You can take them out of the car, one by one, set them on the ground, then take them in the house, etc. By raising the height and weight limit, Graco is giving moms with mulitples a new lease on life. Great seat! Highly recommend! |

| Better than SnugRide! by LynnBorghi from Topeka, KS | Mom Rating:

| Best: Can use the seat longer! Nicer handle. |
| Worst: |
| Full Review: I had a SnugRide for my first baby and cried the day she outgrew it by height, well before I ready to stop using it. The SafeSeat is the answer to my prayers. It's everything a SnugRide is and more! I don't care that it's slightly heavier, it's well worth it to me. Nice job, Graco! |

| GREATEST SEAT EVER! by Lulu from Kansas City, MO | Mom Rating:
 |
| Best: Ease of use, safety record, comfortable, higher height/weight limits |
| Worst: |
| Full Review: I totally disagree with the comments that say anything negative about this seat. It is the top of the line, best infant seat out there. Graco's safety record is unmatched. They added side impact protection. No seat is easier to carry. I LOVE my SafeSeat and highly recommend it. I use it every day and love it every time. Go Graco! |

| Insanity, SafeSeat is Thy Name by ladyjane from Wheeling, WV | Mom Rating:

| Worst: Too Heavy! |
| Full Review: I don't see the point of this seat. Why raise the height and weight limit and give moms more to lug around? Even if your kid is 20 pounds at 6 months, you shouldn't be carrying around in his car seat carrier by then. It's too heavy for you and people, remember, the handle is only made of plastic. You are straining science with a 25 pound kid in there! |

| Seat is Way Too big! by oneanddone from Indianapolis, IN | Mom Rating:
 |
| Best: Seat is safe |
| Worst: Won't even fit in my car |
| Full Review: Be warned -- this seat is so much bigger than the Snugride that it would not even fit in my car. I have a small SUV and the Safeseat hit the front seat backs so much the driver would have had to drive with teh steering wheel in their chest. We had to take this seat back. I'm sure it's a great seat, it just won't work for you if you have a small car. |
