Meet Diaper Bag Designer Lexie Barnes
We’re always on the look-out for cool new diaper bags, and you can’t get much cooler than a line designed by a former member of the Cirque d’ Soleil team. Especially a mom that drums. And knits.
Meet Lexie Barnes, an eponymous line of bags named for their designer. And it’s the design that really makes them stand out. The first thing you fall in love with are the hip, unique patterns. Let everyone else carry a chocolate brown bag; we’re all in for mod blue Dutch tulips and Bali Hai tropical flowers. Other patterns include psychedelic black, pink and white flowers and the most delicious use of army green and Dr. Suess like blooms we’ve ever seen.
Lexie Barnes bags are unique in their size, use and construction. The weather-proof material is somehow still so soft, it’s almost creamy. The bags are easy to wipe clean both inside and out, and feature a ballistic nylon bottom that can stand up to the worst asphalt and stroller wheel abuses.
They offer traditional diaper bags – messenger, backpack and standard sizes – but also less traditional mini bags and toddler totes. In fact, they sell a set of four small, matching pouches for your “itty bittys” like cosmetics and coins that we can’t live without.
