My twins are officially toddlers, which means they are at maximum mess-making stage, maximum tantrum throwing stage, and maximum poop producing age. I am counting down the days until we can start potty training.
They seem to be just the slightest bit interested. They point at their diaper and say “Bye-bye” when they wake up in the morning, requesting a diaper change, but they are pretty reluctant about actually using the toilet. -sigh-
I’m hoping in the next few months I can slowly introduce the concept more and more. Hopefully, they’ll show more signs of interest as we discuss and learn about how big kids use the potty.
One of the ways we introduced the idea to my oldest is through potty training books. We would read them every week, and I would take the opportunity to show him how I used the bathroom. We’ll see if the same strategy works with the twins.
