Kids.Woot is featuring Skuut’s metal version of the balance bike.  Skuut was made famous when they brought there Like-A-Bike knock-offs to America for a much, much, much ever so muchly more reasonable rate (Can you tell I have been reading a lot of Dr. Seuss lately?).  While their wooden bikes are appropriate for kids 2-5 I would say this metal version is more appropriate for ages 3 and up.  The seat is a bit taller, the weight is a bit heavier at 11.5 lbs, and it features a handbrake that only older toddlers will be able to master.  Another great feature to this balance bike is the quick release seat which allows for an easy height adjustment with no tools.

If you are shopping around for a younger tot check out my metal balance bike run-down.
